In December 2023, home prices in Los Angeles County decreased, mirroring a broader statewide trend.

The median price for an existing single-family home in LA County in December 2023 was $853,340, down from $897,990 in November 2023.

Despite the monthly decrease, the median price for December 2023 was still higher than the $799,670 recorded in December 2022.

Statewide, the median price of an existing single-family home in December 2023 was $819,740, a slight decrease from $822,200 in November 2023.

Home sales in California in 2023 saw the most significant decline since 2007, with the annual sales level reaching 257,630, a 24.8% decrease from the revised sales level of 342,530 reported in 2022.
