Brace for Impact: Pasadena Faces Significant Rainfall from Two Consecutive Storms

Flash

Residents of Pasadena and the wider Los Angeles County are bracing for significant rainfall, with forecasters predicting that the area will receive over 7 inches of precipitation from two consecutive storms.

The first storm, which arrived on Wednesday, is expected to drop around 3 inches of rain on Pasadena, while the second storm, due to arrive early next week, is predicted to bring an additional 4.5 inches.

The storms are being fueled by atmospheric rivers, which can lead to intense periods of rainfall.

Residents are being advised to prepare for potential flooding and to avoid traveling during the storms if possible.

Pasadena Humane: Call for Cat Carrier Donations

One of my cats, Vladimir. He is from Russia! He has an instagram if you'd like to see more of him: @Vladimir_Purtin

The Pasadena Humane is reaching out to the community for urgent donations of cat carriers to support the safe transportation of cats and kittens to their foster or forever homes.

These carriers are vital for ensuring the well-being and security of the shelter's feline residents during their transition to new environments.

The shelter is specifically seeking new or gently-used plastic carriers, which can be conveniently dropped off in designated large donation bins located in the shelter's underground parking lot and on the first floor, outside the Shelter Shop.

Additionally, supporters can contribute by purchasing carriers from the shelter's Amazon wishlist.

The Pasadena Humane expresses profound gratitude for the generous support of the community and highlights the significant impact that these contributions will have on the welfare of the shelter's feline inhabitants.
