A $150,000 Patek Philippe Aquanaut watch was reported stolen from a Pasadena residence near the Langham Huntington Hotel.

The theft is suspected to have occurred on December 27th, and the victim, a 52-year-old man, discovered the watch missing from his office after a visit from a window cleaning company earlier that day.

American Red Cross Gears Up with Nearly 200 Volunteers for Pasadena's 135th Rose Parade Spectator Safety

Canadian Red Cross Flag CRC RED CROSS

The American Red Cross Los Angeles Region is preparing to deploy nearly 200 volunteers to ensure the safety and well-being of spectators at Pasadena's 135th Rose Parade.

The Red Cross has a longstanding partnership with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association and the Pasadena Fire Department, providing vital medical attention by manning up to 13 first aid stations strategically placed along the 5.5-mile parade route.

Volunteers, including emergency medical responders, EMTs, nurses, and doctors, undergo rigorous training to handle a range of medical situations.

They are prepared to provide essential medical support during the event, including treating minor ailments and injuries and coordinating with partner organizations for more serious cases.

The Red Cross's support extends beyond the parade itself, as they are actively involved in supporting the Rose Bowl throughout the UCLA football season.

Pasadena's Organ Recipients and Donors Unite to Decorate Rose Parade Float

In Pasadena, thousands of volunteers are dedicatedly working on the Rose Parade floats, and among them is Regina Armstrong, a two-time organ transplant recipient who is contributing to the float for One Legacy Donate Life.

Her personal connection to organ donation serves as a poignant reminder of the parade's themes.

Armstrong's involvement reflects the deep gratitude she feels towards her donors' families, embodying the spirit of giving back.

This heartwarming display of unity and gratitude is a testament to the meaningful connections fostered by the Rose Parade.

Flying a drone at dusk in the city

In a groundbreaking move, the winner of the upcoming Rose Bowl Game between Alabama and Michigan will be commemorated with a postgame drone show featuring 450 synchronized drones.

The show, organized by Sky Elements, is scheduled to take place during the trophy presentation and is intended to honor the New Year and the storied history of the iconic Rose Bowl.

This innovative display reflects a growing trend in aerial entertainment, with drone shows being positioned as a potential alternative to traditional fireworks.

Preston Ward, the chief pilot at Sky Elements, expressed enthusiasm about contributing to the celebration, describing the drone show as a unique experience that will add a magical touch to the event.
