The Pasadena Police Department recently conducted two separate traffic stops that led to the removal of firearms from the streets.
In the first incident, a driver on probation for narcotics was found to have an unregistered, loaded semi-automatic firearm in his vehicle.
A subsequent search of the suspect's home resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, four high-capacity magazines, and a stolen vehicle.

City of Pasadena Encourages Sustainable Practices with Christmas Tree Recycling Options
The City of Pasadena is encouraging residents to recycle their Christmas trees in an eco-friendly manner this holiday season.
The city has arranged for curbside pickup services for whole trees from January 2 to 16. After this period, residents are asked to trim their trees for recycling in yard waste containers.
Alternatively, residents can drop off their trees at Eaton Blanche Park and Robinson Park from December 26 to January 2.
All trees must be free of stands, lights, and ornaments for either disposal method.
Further details can be obtained from the Citizen Service Center at (626) 744-7311

Celebrating 40 Years of Service: Pasadena Police Department's Commander Taglioretti
In Pasadena, Commander Marcia Taglioretti has been a pillar of the local law enforcement community for four decades.
Her career, which began modestly as a cadet in 1983, has seen her rise through the ranks of the Pasadena Police Department, taking on roles in Patrol, Special Investigations, Detectives, and Internal Affairs.
Now, as the leader of the Criminal Investigations Unit, Taglioretti continues to serve with the same passion and commitment she exhibited in her early years.
However, her influence extends beyond her professional duties. Taglioretti is a mentor to many and is devoted to giving back to the Pasadena community - a devotion that is as steadfast as her service record.
