Efficient Response from Pasadena's Emergency Teams Prevents Fire Spread, Ensures Resident Safety

On December 3, 2023, an unexpected fire broke out in a residential home on East Penn Street in Pasadena's 200 block.

The incident, which occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m., prompted an immediate response from Pasadena's Fire and Police Departments.

Their swift action and efficient coordination ensured the fire was restricted to the single house, preventing any spread to nearby structures.

Their efforts also resulted in no injuries being reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Jade Marmon, an Arizona woman, has been reported missing with her last known location traced back to Pasadena, California.

Her car was discovered near the Pasadena Convention Center, prompting an urgent city-wide search.

Known for her friendly demeanor and distinctive style, Marmon has not been in contact with her loved ones since her disappearance, causing concern for her welfare.

The Pasadena Police Department and her family are appealing to the public for any information about her whereabouts to contact them at 626-744-4241.

Pasadena Unified School District to receive $223,000 Boost in Educational Grants

In a partnership aimed at strengthening education in Pasadena, the PUSD will receive a $223,000 grant for the 2023-2024 school year, courtesy of the Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF), College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation, and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association.

The grant will be presented at the PEF Teacher Grants Celebration & Parade, with 222 educators set to receive awards.

These grants, which extend to 15 School-wide Project Grants, will benefit public schools in Altadena, Pasadena, and Sierra Madre, reflecting the commitment of these organizations to support educational initiatives in the region.

110th Rose Bowl Showdown: Michigan and Alabama Set to Clash in Pasadena

Pasadena's iconic Rose Bowl Stadium is all set to host its 110th annual Rose Bowl Game.

On the first day of 2024, the top-seeded Michigan Football team will battle it out with the fourth-seeded Alabama squad.

As a part of the College Football Playoff Semifinal, the Rose Bowl Game signifies a long-standing tradition in Pasadena, attracting a broad spectrum of football fans from across the country.
