The Pasadena Police Department, which is leading the investigation, has classified the incident as 'grand theft,' indicating the total value of the stolen items exceeds $950.

Five Apple Store Robbery Suspects Apprehended Thanks to Vigilant Delivery Driver

An Apple delivery truck driver's alertness resulted in the arrest of five individuals believed to be involved in a string of Apple Store thefts.

The driver, while making a delivery to the Old Pasadena store, noticed a suspicious van that matched descriptions from previous robbery reports.

He promptly alerted the Pasadena Police, who intercepted the van on the westbound 134 freeway.

One suspect attempted to escape via the sewer system of a nearby golf course but was later apprehended. The remaining suspects were arrested without further incident.

The LAPD, handling similar cases of theft, has taken custody of the suspects and the van.

Pasadena Takes Bold Steps Towards Affordable Housing and Mental Health Services

Housing development American Fork

Pasadena has officially gained ownership of a long-vacant former Kaiser Permanente property with the aim of transforming it into a comprehensive center for affordable housing and mental health services.

The city plans to create up to 100 housing units and expand services for the homeless and the community in the region.

The development of this project is seen as a significant step in enhancing the city's economic vitality and addressing the local mental health crisis.

Although a specific timeline for the project is yet to be set, a call for development proposals is expected within three months.
